Our History
In the late 1970's, Sovereign Grace Church (formerly called Indiana
Christian Fellowship, and then Lord of Life Church) grew out
of a Bible study, meeting first at an area hotel, then a rented
fellowship hall, and since 1992 at our present facility.
The first pastor was Brent Detwiler, who went on to serve for many years on the Sovereign Grace Ministries Leadership Team. Mark Altrogge, our current Senior Pastor, was our first worship leader and has been on staff since 1980. He became Senior Pastor in 1982, when Brent relocated to work more closely with Sovereign Grace Ministries.
