Youth Ministry

Transform

Transform exists to evangelize and make disciples of the next generation through discipleship, fellowship, and fostering parent/teen relationships. As a church, we want to support teens during what are often the most difficult and critical years of their lives and challenge them in their pursuit of God. We also want to provide support for their parents by equipping them to effectively instruct and nurture their teens (2 Tim. 3:14-15).

Our main youth group meetings are twice a month on the first and third Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. We also will have different social events throughout the year. Our typical meetings consist of awesome worship, a message, breakout groups for different grades, delicious snacks, and epic games. Parents are always welcome to attend with their teens as a way of being equipped for discipleship at home. Transform is open to teens in Grades 7-12. Youth who are age 12 and in Grade 6 may attend if accompanied by a parent.

Youth Camp

One of our highlights of the year is our church’s Youth Camp in June. Camp consists of four days of summer fun in the quiet wood of Camp Kanesetake (North of Altoona and South of State College). It’s a great opportunity to share God’s truth in a fun environment with other teens and parents from our church and from Providence Church of Pittsburgh. Camp is the perfect opportunity to get to build friendships, enjoy fun activities and games, hear Gospel-centered messages, join in energetic worship, and best of all, deepen your walk with the Lord. Camp is open to teens ages 13+ (by August 31) who attend Saving Grace Church or Providence Church, or teens who are sponsored by church members. Parents of campers are welcome and encouraged to attend and share the excitement of Youth Camp with their teens!

Teen Bible Studies

Potter's Daughters

The Potter’s Daughters, a young ladies ministry, is aimed at the spiritual growth of our teen girls. Meeting on the second Saturday of the month at 6 p.m., we promote interpersonal relationships with women of all ages from the teenage years up. Moms are strongly encouraged to attend, to foster mentorship with teens besides their own, and to glean ways to relate to their teen at home. Because this ministry is guided by teens, the core group of girls forms our agenda and events. Whether we have a Bible study, service project, or outreach, our goals remain the same: interpersonal relationships, fellowship, and spiritual maturation.

We're starting a new study on 1 & 2 Thessalonians in October! If you'd like to order the optional study guide ($11), you can do that here.

Forge Bible Study

Forge is our teen guys Bible Study which meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. Our meetings provide a great way for teen guys to get into God’s Word and have meaningful discussions about what the Bible has to say about manhood and how it applies to our lives. The study is open to all teen guys and their dads.
